Project Overview

The Rising Sun is launching a major initiative to provide used and refurbished laptops, tablets, Chromebooks, and projectors to refugee schools in Mae Sot, Thailand — benefiting over 6,000 students from Pre-K to high school. In addition, we will offer hands-on computer training to youth and communities in Mae Sot, Thailand — empowering them with essential digital skills.

Target Audience

Our primary beneficiaries are youths in Thailand and Myanmar, with a special focus on refugee and underserved communities. We aim to reach anyone eager to enhance their computer literacy and technological skills.

Goals and Objectives

• Ensure all youths in refugee and underserved schools have access to laptops and computers.
• Provide digital literacy and technological skills to prepare youth for brighter futures.
• Support teachers and schools with reliable IT tools that enhance teaching and learning.

Measuring Our Impact

We will evaluate the success of this project through:

• The number of IT devices donated to schools and community centres.
• The number of youths trained in digital literacy programs.
• Feedback from schools, teachers, and participants about improved educational outcomes and digital readiness.
